The Girl in the Arms of a DemonA Chapter by Writer
"Welcome back Master!" All the servants and maids said all at once as soon as I enter the house. They were all lined up in two lines, making a road for me to pass through the living room.
"Mm." I replied, to show that I appreciate their warm welcomes. My house, or should I say, my mansion, is located deep within the forest where no humans are able to find. Those with only magic powers or the permission from me could find my house, so normally, humans doesn't even know that there is a mansion here. I sat down on the couch and took the newspaper with the title, "DemonWorld News", off the coffee table. The first thing that caught my eye was entitled as, "Demon Riot, off to the human world!" I began chuckling to myself as I read the small but large passage. "It has nearly been 3 months since our following ruler, Akihto Kimura, has been to Earth. Everyone in the underworld has taken action. Some of them made plans while the others trained to increase their powers more to stop our beloved Akihto. Many of them are currently located at Pond of Darkness, which is near the King's castle. They are starting up a riot, hoping to catch the King's attention to stop Akihto Kimura and force him to come back. Unfortunately, the King didn't seem to notice them yet. There are rumors going on, saying that the King will be sending up strong armies to Earth, hoping to catch Akihto Kimura back to Hell. Of course, that is still a rumor. For more information, please look forward to tomorrow's news." I couldn't help but to smile to myself while sipping my blood tea. "Catch me, huh?" I said softly to myself. "Is everything all right Akihto?" My servant as well as my best friend, Tate, asked me, pouring tea into my cup. "Heh, yea. It's just so stupid how people are acting nowadays." I said to him smiling. "Yes. I don't suppose you will go back?" "No. My days here is not finished yet." I replied, folding the newspaper in half and putting it on the table. "I want to go outside for a bit, will you come with me?" "It's my pleasure." Tate answered, making a small bow. *******************************************************************
"Earth has been a lot more sunny lately, no?" I asked, looking out the car window. "Yes, but I predicted that there will be rain tomorrow." He said, sitting next to me. I sighed, feeling a bit envious at him being able to use his powers freely. I, on the other hand, had to wear an earring on my left ear for it to control and store my powers. While the car was still in motion, I saw that there were a very familiar girl being chased out of her home from her mom. As I take a closer look, the girl was the one from before who had carelessly bumped into me. "Stop." I said to the driver, still looking out the window. Even after he had stopped, I remained inside the car, wondering if I really should do anything to help her. "Is anything wrong Master?" Tate curiously asked me. He was trying to peek out the window where my head or shoulders are not blocking. However, he could not see the girl's face. I didn't answer him. It's not like I don't want to tell him about what I have seen, but it's that I don't know how to answer him. "You, you get out of my house right now!" The woman screamed at the girl, throwing her clothes out the door. "You didn't pay the rent for 2 months now! Who the hell do you think you are?!" The girl was crying, begging the old lady for mercy. "Please! I don't have anywhere else to go if you don't take me!" She cried, hugging tightly onto the lady's leg. "Ugh! Get lost now!" She yelled, kicking the girl off of her. I stopped looking out the window and faced front. I don't even know the girl in the first place, so why should I help her? "Lets go." I said to the driver and the car soon began to move again. Even though I said that, I still wondered if my decision was correct. "Master, you seem ill. Are you sure nothing is wrong?" Tate asked me. "Tate." I began. "We've known each other when we were only 5. You were always there when I needed you, so I see you as my best friend. Please don't call me Master anymore. It's getting annoying, especially hearing it from you." I ordered, looking at him with a tiny smile. Tate blushed, looking down at his hands. He is definitely feeling proud right now. "Ok Akihto!" He said happily. "So tell me, what is wrong with you?" I laughed, feeling weird how his personality could change so fast. "Nothing, I was just watching a movie." I told him. ************************************************************* As the sun began to set, we were on our way back home. "Hey Akihto." Tate said, pulling my sleeve to catch my attention. He was looking up a tall building. "What?" I looked up the building, but it was way too tall for me to see anything but the clouds covering the sun. "Someone is going to die." He said seriously. I paused and look up the building. I looked at Tate in the eyes and nodded. Immediately, Tate disappeared and when he was back, he was carrying a fainted girl in his arms as well as a luggage. "Hm?" I looked over and was startled to see that it was the girl from before. 'Was she trying to kill herself?' "Bring her home with us." I ordered him. After we arrived home, Tate brought the fainted girl into one of my rooms. I followed him up and watch him carefully place her on the bed, pulling a blanket over her. "Nice job Tate. No wonder you're a high rank butler." I smiled, teasing him a bit. It has been a long time since there were a human at my house. The scent of her blood makes everyone mentally crazy, since everyone here are low class demons except for me, Tate, and Rui. Even high-ranked butlers are considered high-middle class people back in the underworld. Tate chuckled and watches the girl, still in her deep sleep. "I guess so." he said over to me. "She is going to stay here for tonight?" He added. "There's no place for her to go right?" "True, but are you sure it's OK? I mean, everyone is crazy right now. She might be in a dangerous state." He said with a frown. "We could only pray that she will be OK tonight." I concluded, looking over at her. © 2011 WriterReviews
