Still Waiting

Still Waiting

A Poem by Daniel Sterling

Forever watchful like a shadow

That lingers in the darkest corners

Of your now hallow saddened heart

Shed no tears for I am always here

Still I wait for that day when our tears

Fall never more our souls side by side

Hand in hand as we cross over together

To whatever awaits us at the very end

But for now I remain as the lost soul

By your side as the agonizing seconds

Of life slowly steal away your patience

Will you join me on the other side

No your still waiting as you should be

The time will come but it is not now

Sadness will cease to exist within you

Our day will come at heaven's gates

You will wait no more
