Staying Strong

A love so strong yet facing troubled times

Times where it would seem easier to just

Leave everything behind, oh how I would

Miss you terribly so, but no I cannot leave

 

For leaving you and all that we are, would

Mean admitting defeat under everything

I am, I could never allow the past to catch

Up with me, its already closing in I feel it

 

Do I let these troublesome memories

Of a life that is gone and behind me still

Win over true love, no I won’t allow it

All I have ever wanted was you, stay

 

Stay with me as we brave these storms

Storms that rain down on us with only

One intent, to break apart everything

We have ever built, let us stand strong

 

I will face it all for you, everything that

Comes my way, these storms will pass

I will heal from the scars, they inflicted

And stronger I’ll be, as will be our love

Another very good poem. My only advise is to try and find pictures, people read something soon when there's a good picture. Anyways, another great poem. Well penned.
