Carl,
It is a great shame that people do not recognize the media as the invaders they are. Their manipulations are powered by a double motivation of power and money. Money because the news is presented to encourage conflict so there is an endless number of boxes to put people in, the pit them against each other because conflict gaains viewers, gains advertising, gains return on investment in the purveyers. Power because it is in the nature of man to rule the weak, and what better way than by the old saying,"The people will believe what the media tells them to believe."
Excellent poem,

We are flooded with situations remote and uncontrollable much in the form of a media mudslide to bury our ability to think and react in any way other than fear and hostility. Our backs are placed up against the proverbial wall for the sake of power and money. Thank you for the time to read and review. - ps you're doing a great job of supplying prompts to Ravin' ink - keep it up -carl
This is like an upturned version of that once great quote I think you find at the statue of liberty about giving you the poor huddled masses, invading the airwaves of your home with their Orwellian double speak and fake news, while putting up signs on every route into your land saying "Sorry, go away. We are full!"
Just a slight word of warning to those whose aim is to seek that... Spain tried that with having protests against British tourists and now that we refuse to go and be harassed on holiday, their economy is tanking because they thought other tourists would take up the slack, but no one wants to go somewhere they are going to be questioned on holiday, so the powers that be might be wise to take note, before creating their very own fake news when the economy tanks by sating they were only joking and please come and spend your money here please!
Phew! Can't believe I got through all that without mentioning Trumpet and his Muskateer.... duh! Oopsies! 😃

That's what I admire about your poetry my friend is the continuity of your writing. Your poems are integral pieces of work from beginning to end. Here are some brilliant lines my favorite being the last. " Alice style the wild came to stare then fades again to shining glass" more poetic only on the other side of the glass. A lovely work Carl

When it comes to poetry I think a sense of cadence with a feeling of full or partial resolution may be as important or perhaps more so than reason and logic. At least that's what I think I think. lol again thanks - carl
