Lip Synced Echoes:

Lip Synced Echoes:

A Poem by carl
"

from a conversation with my son about bot streaming without an audience in an effort to achieve billboard success for music artists. I tried to imagine the non-existent audience personified.

"

Lip Synced Echoes:

Neural vibrations in vacuums without wires

for audience lacking ears hoping to inspire

slick purveyors promoting long dead stars

by digital streams that spontaneously start.

A future is fomenting quickly from our past

ready for audiences now making the scene

immersed in movement never meant to last

with sounds and images synced in between.

Eyes shut tight on broken window dreams

to ingest integrated visions of banal fantasy

void of true reality or anything that could be

with minds locked tight insider of the stream

like lip synced echoes striking canyon walls

spinning around to bounce off zenith moons

to achieve false apogee but no curtain calls

with hardwired brains certain to crash soon.

No telling what AI, bots will do in the future; many things are in the offing of technology. To some, they are dangerous and scary; to others they are beneath needed.
I like how you put all of that in great perspective sir.
Excellent rhyming quatrains.

Oh, dear! Technology! Is it something to be feared or to be welcomed? At the moment it is an almost unknown quantity. AI is only as good as the person who has programmed it and I think that is the problem in the long term. What will the programmer give it power to do? It is like Oppenheimer when he created the atomic bomb. I have read that he regretted creating it because of the death and destruction it caused and to many innocent people. AI could be used to do good instead of evil, but will it? Only time will tell. It is a scary subject at the moment. I love the title of the poem, the wonderful use of allegory, the perfect rhythm and rhyme which have created an effortless flow to the poem and I also love the neat lay out of the poem. A Masterpiece from The Master's hands! Thank you for sharing, Carl...

Very nicely done and an interesting subject as well. I suppose that this could be taken several ways. Either a social or technological commentary would be my first two choices. I prefer the last and how it affects the first. Great metaphors and lines in this poem and the rhyme falls right in line. Loved it Carl
