You created sadness beautifully. Time does run - perhaps aware that Man wastes it if it lingers, perhaps?
Time lies on our wrists, stands on window sills, sits round the stove. It is near surplus to sun, moon and tide. It resides in soul-less creature comforts mechanic.
Is everywhere - except when we beings look at the number and it's run out of batteries. And we two legged aliens have lost their way home?

A day in the life is all many creatures have. Consider the Mayfly and how in its short span it is born to mate and die. They cannot eat or be nourished except as nymphs...there is no old age retirement waiting for the Mayfly. Maybe we should just try to make the best of every day we are given. It's just a moment at best. My friend just turned ninety-eight. She said life is very short. May the sun be on your face and the wind forever at your back as we all Godspeed to our destination; whirling on a tiny blue ball traveling a quarter million miles an hour, hurtling headlong through space. Bless you, my friend. F.

Those tomorrow's get quicker and quicker, until all your left with are a whole bunch of yesterday's that get jumbled in your mind, that could have been last week or 20 years ago. The truest sense of getting old is finding yourself saying "it can't be breakfast again, can it?"
