You created sadness beautifully. Time does run - perhaps aware that Man wastes it if it lingers, perhaps?
Time lies on our wrists, stands on window sills, sits round the stove. It is near surplus to sun, moon and tide. It resides in soul-less creature comforts mechanic.
Is everywhere - except when we beings look at the number and it's run out of batteries. And we two legged aliens have lost their way home?

Time Disappears caught my eye because I am disabled due to such. But when I read it makes me think of Time as a whole and it will, in the twinkling of an eye, soon disappear. thanks for sharing this lovely piece.
There's a sense of timelessness in this piece. Can feel a touch of sadness at how time is moving for the author. A bit of despair, some hope, then a nothingness of a tomorrow, numbers to keep track yet time doesn't track. Liked the wavy nature of the poem, with upticks and downticks like a clock. Tick Tock. Tick Tock, nothing stops. Great to read this one, Thanks for sharing, Carl.

Life is very poetically captured in both words and imagery in this exquisitely penned poem, Carl. We hope for a tomorrow to arrive and live with that hope each night we go to bed. The years of our lives are numbers on the wall until the call comes to return home to Spirit and when that call comes time disappears in a flash. Very thought provoking, insightful write, Carl. I love the simplicity with which you write your beautiful poetry. It is so easy to read and to understand, nothing convoluted and it is said that is the sign of ''a good poet and writer''. Thank you so very much for sharing, Carl. I love this poem and so enjoyed reading...

Great words Carl I don't know why it is that as I grow older time goes faster. I love the final stanza:
"At the closing
seems so queer
in a moment
time disappears."
Each stanza with its own separate meaning of time this is well constructed Carl and very relatable.
Random numbers
upon the wall
days and days
untill the call.
I relate to these words totally. The days have been flying, lately. A week just vanishes without a Hi or a Bye. Just like a random stranger, before you get to know it.
The first verse made me dwell on how we're not even given the time to create memories. It can be distressing, especially, closer to the end when we want to hold on to time, to each day, each moment. A very inspiring poem and one that makes me wonder how I can make precious moments last.
Really liked the topic, the rhyming and the spare delivery. Time seems so certain in this dimension. "At the closing," however, there will be only the moment that always was, with no past or future.
As we age time seems to speed up. The years pass by at an incredible rate. The candle wax melts far too quickly. There is less living to do. Thank you Carl for a thought provoking write.
We do learn. Time isn't our friend.
"At the closing
seems so queer
in a moment
time disappears"
The above lines. I do understand Carl. Good morning from Michigan and I hope you are enjoying the days of May.
