considering an old poem and a Dylan song

From Where To When:

​

From where have you come Lord Randal

and are you that self same darling son

Is this a phase of your long journey

or to the final rest place come.

We follow your path by land and ocean

counting footsteps along the way-

even when you change garb but not reason

and forecast the hard rain today.
