Morning Glory

Morning Glory

A Poem by carl
"

looking at an old photo I took years ago

"
Morning Glory:

Morning glory in a spring face,
golden framed photo memory
of future splendor to embrace-
a promise of full beauty to be.

Close by a hedge apple tangle,
regrets posing as a dark dream
skirting a stained crown bramble-
a painting of past long forgotten.

The past and the future poetically portrayed and with beauty. I was drawn to spring and saw a host of golden daffodils dancing in spring sunshine. I am a great Wordsworth fan. Lovely imagery here carl of future days to come.

thanks for the read and review much appreciated encouragement
The contrast between the two verses catches the eye immediately. The question is which is present and which is past. I know verse 2 is identified as past, but I am still not certain as to which preceded which.

thank you for the much appreciated read and review.
This is a gossamer beauty of mixed colors; delicate description and moody nostalgia. It's a pleasing palette to paint from if one is so fortunate. I greatly enjoyed the read.

Many thanks for the read and review especially the moody nostalgia - exactly from where it came.
