Author's Note

carl
it's not that i am unsympathetic but it seems to me there is a difference between looking for a thrill and seeking a future. In both cases I am sorrowful for the families and the loss of ones they love.

I have much more sympathy for refugees than billionaires out on a lark. Well done, Carl.

although I often do, you made me wonder what the world is coming to even more deeply than usual .. sadly enjoyed and with much corresponding regret .. Neville

I remember days when we welcomed people in. Now it seems that sadly, all borders are closed and strangers are treated with suspicion. It's a sad world when we can't move as freely as we once did, thanks to the horrors of the few, done for maximum effect of fear and mistrust.
If humanity was due a report card, I think we'd flunk.

" the horrors of the few, done for maximum effect of fear and mistrust " truly said.
Someone is making a great deal of money out of people seeking a better future for themselves. The outcome is nothing short of tragic, and it is happening in so many places. Your brevity here, hits home Carl.
