What do you call three crows standing together? An attempted murder. ;) I enjoyed the read. We don't get many murders around here but we do get squawking cacophonies of grackles that sound off with shrill squeaks and a noise like a very loud "bloop" akin to a pebble being thrown in a pond. They gather in a small patch of woods here and carry on all day.

I recently read your poem and was impressed by the way you use language to create a sense of tension and unease. The way you describe the person's irritation and annoyance, and their desire to take action against their community, is really effective in conveying the intensity of their emotions. I also appreciate the way you show how this person's anger is clouding their judgment, as they are not fully considering the consequences of their actions. Your poem is a powerful reminder of the dangers of acting impulsively, and I think it has an important message for readers. Thank you for sharing your work with the world.

would surely create an unimaginable ruckus of epic proportions. woke me up this morning as a matter of fact as they do most mornings. their squawking cuts through my head like a serrated knife. oh well, they, like everything, serve a purpose. we would probably miss them at halloween. quoth the raven evermore ... :)
crows are such fascinating creatures, more intelligent than half the states that border my state.

An interesting work on the title. Why do we call it a murder of crows? Why a parliament of owls? The irony of thinking of killing a murder of crows is great. This poem is short but well constructed. The metaphor when taken to people is stark and unsettling.

The title got me and the tale. I did like. You wrote enough to make the reader ponder and wonder. The murder of crows never lead to a nice ending. Thank you Carl for sharing the amazing poetry. I did enjoy.

As I understand it, a murder is the term used for a group of crows. In this work, murder is used literally in the description of one fed up with their noisy gatherings. I wonder what he would do with a pride of lions. Teach them some humility?
