you and me and promises

you and me and promises

A Poem by crownedsoul
"

Thalia Grace muses about her lost best friend and the promises that were broken between them.

"
i do not know
you anymore
and i do not
care for you
anymore.

/

for you i feel
only sorrow
and something
that could be
regret, to have
ever loved you
at all.

/

how dare you
ask of me, to be

your queen; to
rule beside you.
i need not a crown,
to be a queen. i only
need myself, and
those that are rightly
loyal to my cause.

/

i do not love you
anymore. i do not
know if i ever really
did.
you know how i
felt about our promises.
you promised me, l u k e.

/

luke, you promised m e,
that we would be a family;
you and me and
a n n i e.
family, luke, you promised.

/

but apparently,
p r o m i s e s
aren't as important
to you as they used to be.

once again, ignore lowercase. how did i do with characterization, if you've read the books and know thalia's character?
