An encounter

Pearl

There she was in the dark, she stood out to me. Her hair was like midnight black and it flowed over shoulders. She was beautiful, I couldn’t take my eyes of her. I plucked up the courage and shuffled towards her and asked, “Hey.” She looked at me, her eyes flashed in the darkness. “Hi,” she said, smiling at me instantly making me melt. I asked her, “Are you interested with what we have here?” I asked. She told me that it was interesting. I then asked her, “Would you like me to give you a tour of our school?” She smiled and said, “Sure.” I took her around the school, explaining what we learned here. As I was walking with her, many thought ran through my head. ‘What do I do, What can I do, Should I ask her out, Will she reject me?’ These questions kept going through my head. As we walked, we talked. Every part of our conversation made me realize that she might just be the girl of my dreams. She had a great personality, she was cute and really easy to talk to. So as we walked down an empty walkway I perked up and said, “Do you have a boyfriend?” She answered casually, “No, no one has asked me.” So, I asked her, “Pearl, will you go out with me?” She paused and looked at me and said an answer I will never forget. “Yes.”
