How is Daedalus judged?

How is Daedalus judged?

A Poem by Catherine
"

a short quick poem about Icarus

"

Icarus, your father's eyes were wide when you began to spiral down

Into those traitorous waters

He screamed so much the ruthless gods took pity

On his poor dying boy

Icarus, your father hasn't been the same

He shouts at Helios sometimes

Cursing him for shining that day

And every other

Icarus, your father has created a statue of a boy

With flaxen wings

He’s calling him by your name

When he asks him where he’s been

For the past thirteen years

Icarus, your father has convinced himself that the boy replies

And tells him:

Father, I’ve been flying

Icarus, your father nods and hugs him

Begging him to never leave again

And the boy says:

I won’t

Icarus, your father woke up one morning

And at sometime he reached lucidity

He destroyed the boy

And drowned himself in the sea

Icarus, your father’s body is bloated and blue on the shore

Do you see him in the fields of forgiving asphodel?

Or is he being punished for his crimes already?
