Stuck

Stuck

A Poem by Carissa Easton

dancing the rhythm

but losing the melody

I need some sensation

Something to live again

losing that easy feeling

one of absolute relaxation

life is slowly, tensing up now

as inspiration spirals round the nation

Lyrical intensity

running round my veins

filling me

with undeniable propensity
to never-ending word play

a mind-bending imaginary density

Pitch black haze

Filling my world

I can't help but sing

of this perpetual writing hell

I can't help but hope

that this obsession will end

Appetite now gone

All thoughts of anything

now seem wrong

my mind is enthralled

by the need to make another theme song

Lyrical intensity

running round my veins

filling me

with undeniable propensity
to never-ending word play

a mind-bending imaginary density
