Crimson Tears

Crimson Tears

A Poem by Carissa Easton

The angels are crying tears of blood

Crimson droplets streaming from the clouds

The scarlet downpour, causing to flood

The world of those who brought the sadness

The heavens are opening now

Letting out such a wailing of grief

For the lost, for the abandoned

And for those who insist on being wreathed

Around with chains of the mind

Dark lightning dims the skies

While the tears run and multiply

The lost ignore those seeking to advise

against their downhill run
