Vanity

Vanity

A Poem by cristamay76

Casting myself away
Silly girls silly girls
Im not sure which is worse, casting stones or casting pearls
Wasted oh so wasted, precious time, priceless time
In the face of insecurity, vanity is such the crime
Pretty glass chapels on the hill I want to throw stones because I'm angry and ill but the fact remains it sits there still and Here I am with many hopes dashed someday my prince will come I hope he does fast.
Remember me at the wishing well we're all your gold can go to hell I've been rich and poor it's just as well but without the Lord its an empty shell.

This piece started really good but it began to fall for lack of understanding. I think a little more time and editing needs to go into this piece but you're on the right track! Keep up the good work.
