"a happy, productive life." "a happy, productive life." "a happy, productive life."
adults always try and cram that idea down your throat. the idea that you're supposed to have a seemingly "happy" life and the only way you can get there is by "going to a good college, getting a great job, and having a happy family." god damn, what if i don't want to? what if i want to be a writer? join the peace core? become an artist? how do they expect us to know what we want to do for the rest of our lives? we're constantly told that we are going to regret the "irresponsible" decisions we make during our youth. like, we are constantly told that we'll "regret getting a tattoo at a young age"? especially when, at the same age, we're expected to know what we want to do for the rest of our lives?
