Here Comes the Sun

Here Comes the Sun

A Poem by Emma Cathryn

The sun's rays poke in
when the crack of a baby bird's shell.

It glances around,
taking in the world around.
Getting warmer throughout the day
and gaining the strength to power through
the fading grey and shattered egg.
Once it grows and matures within the day,
it jumps and slowly flutters away.
