Cinderella

Cinderella

A Poem by Emma Cathryn
"

You know my name, not my story.

"

There once was a girl

Who worried about school

And about all the kids around her

Who liked to be so cruel.

She turned around, walking to class

Avoiding everyone who walked by,

But collided with the boy

Who wore the amber eyes.

When she got home

On that very same day,

She spoke to the boy, who also apologized

For getting in her way.

There once was a girl

who fell head over heels

for a boy with many troubles

and didn’t dare to “feel”

She couldn’t get him off her mind;

It was hard to let go

And regarding her feelings for him,

She wouldn’t let him ever know.

They were best friends,

Which caused so much pain.

Even I was surprised,

In the end, she was still sane.

He told her he loved her

And meant it, he lied.

Her heart was broken,

Tears in her eyes.

Cinderella was hurt

And bled so much on her dresser shelf

Because her prince falls for the wrong girl.

So she kills herself.
