Questions

Questions

A Poem by Emma Cathryn

When the words
"How are you?"
pop up
somewhere,
anywhere
in time
and your voice cracks
or your fingers shake
and you just don't know what to say
since you don't even know
how you feel.
When the question
"What's wrong?"
makes you frustrated.
A better question would be
"What's right?"
even though both have one word answers:
Everything
and nothing.
When your biggest lie
to your parents,
family
and friends
is
"I'm fine."
They may not know you aren't,
but you do
and realize how alone
you really are.
People say Suicide
isn't the answer,
but Life
isn't even a question.
