One More Minute

One More Minute

A Poem by Crystalbluepersuasion

So tired
Yet still inspired

Got fired
from my life

On hold, wait one minute more
Not gonna swim past this dock no more

Time to come ashore
Step up to the plate
Begin with the proverbial clean slate

Still able; still rockin and rollin
Just need a boost for this motor to get going

Need a revamped, recharged jolt of energy now

One more minute
wait just a lil bit more
The road widens just up ahead

Dont give up before the miracle happens
You'd be better off dead

I like how it starts off as dull and desolate, then there's actually a positive note at the end.
