When You're Gone, When We're Gone

When You're Gone, When We're Gone

A Poem by Crystalbluepersuasion
"

wrote this when i lost my grandfather

"

Just this morning, making myself a bite.
Thought of your laugh.
Had to stop for a cry.

Just the other day, driving on by.
Saw a funny sign.
Had to stop and sigh.

How do I tell myself you're gone?
And when will I know what really goes on...

When we're gone?

Maybe I don't want to see.

Lately I think I may be
Happier living in denial and wonder.
More content when left to ponder
What really goes on...

When we're gone.

wow... this is a wonderful poem, seeing as to how I just lost my grandparents this year, I know what you're talking about.

It is difficult when "you're gone". Every turn, every angle a reminder of the person no longer at our side. But "What really goes on ... When we're gone", maybe there trully is a heaven or an alternative universe; where there is peace and all our loved ones await.
