Holy Spurn

Holy Spurn

A Poem by cretinlung

Righteous nature

Holy anger

Succumbed vapor

Deity lost

This priest of yours you spurned

Sinner’s wager

Faulty layers

Tithing terror

Winter’s cold frost

The least of yours concerned

Martyred memories

Sanctimonious

Calloused pleading knees

Absent your embrace

Martyred memories

Holier than thou

Sermons falling short

Trinity deposed

Divine warfare

Blood split mid-air

Heaven right there

refusing me

This priest of yours you spurned

Sink your blade here

You I won’t fear

Voice I revere

Blindingly Thee

Confessional I burned.

Martyred memories

Sanctimonious

Calloused pleading knees

Absent your embrace

Martyred memories

Holier than thou

Sermons falling short

Trinity deposed

Bleeding heart of mine you bleached with heavenly lies

Stealing fault is Thine for you leached off of my nights

Kneeling vault of Time I beseeched your face in the sky

Sealing fate in crime against the deeds committed sly

Now I shant know your name in mine.

This priest of yours you spurned

Won’t beg you to return

Chalked up to lesson learned

The least of yours concerned.

But not the first you burned

Release this faith of mine.
