Homeless

Homeless

A Poem by Violet Chan

Silence buried the streets,
Beneath the black sky and twinkling diamonds,
Here I stand,
Walking alone with the tears of being abandoned,
Frightened by the weird sounds,
Shivering from the cold,
Here I stand homeless,
Nowhere to go, nowhere to stay...
As I walked and walked and walked
Losing the strength in my legs,
I sat down underneath a tree nearby,
Leaned my back against it,
Tears fell down my cheeks as they lost their control,
I closed my eyes slowly...
.
.
.
I heard whisper "wake up, wake up'
The voice started to get faint..
I opened my eyes to see who it was...
It was my mom
Who was waking me from my sleep,
So it was a dream...

Dream or real you still know how it feels to be in despair. Well done I could feel the emotions here.
Keep writing.
