Pause for peace

Can we each just take a moment?

Pause our anger

Take a breath

Exhale peace

Could we lay down our guns

For a hug

Embrace

For peace?

Could we close our eyes

Live like the blind

So we stop living skin deep

Yield for peace

Can we take

An instant 

A day

A second

A year

To believe

In why we are here?

To love one another

To smile

Make life just a little more

Worthwhile....

Can we hold eachother close

And pretend we don't hear bombs

Hide away this peace

Protect it in our hearts

So we can smile in the ash

And say we live for tomorrow

Could we explode

Love

And watch the waves

Of what we create

Radiate

Across the globe
