She stood on the edge of the salt sprayed cliff
Wind whipping her hair and dress into the stormy sky And I begged her not to jump Her eyes shot daggers right through me And baby if looks could kill I'd be dead a thousand times The words hit me in tidal waves How I broke her heart The way she put the knife in my hand Then she beckoned me closer Hoping to save her I approached Then I got that final blow The look that said it all She grinned As she watched me fall
