blackbird

blackbird

A Poem by creativequill

Blackbird shrieks
Into the sky
Signaling its flight
And watchful eye

Lands upon
A thick black cable
Its eye observes
A common tale

Flashing lights
A girl, seventeen
Dying of wounds
The eye has not seen

Blackbird soars
Keeping pace
The ambulance drives
A life or death race

Young life drifting
Blackbird cries
No mother at home
Only blackbird spies

Ambulance too late
Blackbird takes flight
Girl pronounced gone
Two blackbirds drift
Into the night

I'm 22. I believe in peace. And free expression. Art exists in everything and anything, some people just need to open their eyes. I think that the world in general needs to wake up. I believe in .. more..
