A choiceA Poem by creangelA couple gets stuck on a island filled with vicious cannibal natives. The man is left near the edge of a cliff with his lovers corpse in his hands, with two choices; slow or immediate death.Waters still as they are crossed What once was is no more Morning comes as sadness flows Hope which once was afloat Those who hid their greed come forth Standing in the rays of white One tear flows from the weaker side Natives watch from shadows below Metal and wood held to their beings Ever ready for the the slightest moment Momentum is gathered as trees rustle The eyes of the gone watch the alien Limbs working no more Cold comes, swallowing the being Mother of air and the open space The lover watches the natives Grasping the unloved while retreating Death or captivity hold vir in place Dirt takes all and saves none Waters await more lives as it consumes The bottomless pit of the dark awaits Abandon the doll and join the grim Be consumed as a rock Time is stopped as Hades takes one more
