she forgotA Poem by Audrey JoanneNot you. Not him. Not her. It's me..me and my life. Me and my inner poetic soul. Sometimes I do forget to turn back and cherish people. I laugh and walk away too much. Then when I decided to slow down my speed.. it is too late. People has already walked aShe jumped in euphoric when she learnt that she could walk and not crawl she smiled and laughed talked loudly and mindlessly she contented the joy when she finally knew she was growing up she brazed the world with a confidence nobody could snatch Yet, she forgot the world is never meant to be hers alone Yet she forgot when she threw her old lives she threw her old memories Yet she forgot her indecisive decisions and talks had caused havocs
And she forgot.. that holding onto her past is worth something sometimes. © 2009 Audrey Joanne |
