Nature's Touch

Nature's Touch

A Poem by Barry S. Maltese

Nature’s Touch
By Barry S. Maltese

The wind blew over my body
Caressing me softly with natures own touch
The smell just filled up my senses
With a flavor that I longed for so much.

I felt the warmth of the sunlight
Joining with the energy of my very being
I need not open my eyes to enjoy . . .
Though the beauty was there for everyone’s seeing

For in one glorious moment
The heart of this world joined fully with mine
As if somehow, this whole Universe
Had a harmony crafted by a Spirit Devine

The planets all moved in their normal pace
Creating a wave like a vast open sea
Rippling the fabric of both time and space
Until it touched that one little speck that was me

I gazed out into the sunlit sky
Realizing within my retrospect
That no matter how large this Galaxy might be
In some way every component does connect

I had to take this one phrase out to point out the deliverance that you give. You are a powerful writer. You make powerful points and you are a common man.

What you give to people is more than what they will ever know. Krystal Waters/Kathryn Star

Great poem. The first three stanzas were good, nice imagery, but the last two stanza's were what won me over. The ending line was very good and the idea of the fourth stanza with you as the 'tiny speck' resonated well with me.

Pont made beautifully - we ARE all connected! Everything in the vast universe is connected in some sort of "7 degrees..." type of way.

Your deliver is absolutely breath taking. The visuals that flowed through my mind as I read this are ones that I won't , soon, forget.

"I need not open my eyes to enjoy . . .
Though the beauty was there for everyone’s seeing"
- I love those lines...

We don't always have to have our eyes open to "see", sometimes it is about feeling... just relaxing and letting nature wash over you. You've shown that in brilliant pose.

Excellent write :)

Now, this... I love. I have a few nature poems myself, and let me tell you- when you get it out perfectly- it shines! This my friend, really did! You're imagery is lovely! Just like nature herself, you are caring, positive and blessed with such a nice soul!

Keep writing more of these types of poetry- they really work for you!

I once saw a photograph of two Galaxies passing through each other and the comment was made by some Astronomer that the chance of a star or planet in one or the other ever colliding was infinitesimal. I just wonder if they are waving to each other.
