Just outside the darknessA Poem by Barry S. MalteseThere Inside The Darkness by Barry S. Maltese
There inside the darkness it seems like you're alone As if you have no one to help - in person or on the phone No one there, as you reach out, as alone as one could be but when you're there - lost in the dark - how could anyone see
In darkness it is tough to notice - some one who is even close by For If you did, you might reach out, and give their help a try For once you are able to grasp their hand, from the darkness they'd be free Then YOU would be outside the darkness - here along with me.
So, do not give up while in that void, as tired as you might get For I am reaching in for you, and we'll grasp each other yet Just remember that age old addage, one that still stands strong Nothing that is ever too good, or bad, ever lasts too long.
Stay Strong of heart You are not really alone! Sincerely Dad
