The judgment of Heart

Yes, it is the human heart

that enables us to feel

Giving us a sense of truth

though sometimes quite unreal

 

The heart can tell us what to think

if you wish a gentler way

Yet, sometimes leads us into pain

in an inadvertent way

 

For when our minds hears a story told

it tries to see the facts

But hearts can only feel emotions

the "discerning" talent lacks

 

So when you use your heart to guide

one thing that will be true

No one will be hurt by your judgment

except for maybe you

Bravo! Absolutely lovely! I love the last two lines!

The heart is so tricky, it really cannot discern...it only feels. It is so wonderful to have a heart filled with happiness..and equally as horrible to have a heart filled with pain. But the thing about the heart is, it's resilient...it's always ready to open up for that happiness again.

The words to this piece flow seamlessly...my heart felt each and every word.

Wow-this is GREAT. Our hearts and emotions can definitely lead us astray, but the discernment that comes from the Holy Spirit is always right on time and right on.

I have never heard a poem like this so I enjoyed it.

One small change in tense: Third stanza: For when our minds hears a story told (It would be "when our mind hears" Just drop that "s" and it will be perfect...

Exactly. That's why I believe that everyone has got his own universe. For there is only a relative truth. There is no absolute truth for it depeds from the point of the observer. Who can see with his heart - lives on a lower frequency, he is tranquil and harmonized and his loving heart touches the others. The balance between heart and mind is called emotional intelligence, and we need to decide daily in our tiny steps if we wanna hear with heart or think with body for body is an intelligent organ, too and sometimes we just listen to the sound of the universe and then we hear with heart and up above in the stars is happening the same. I also respect the opinion of my dear friend, dearest Barry.
