Chapter 2 - Morning Thoughts

Pretty small chapter :P

Waking up the next morning was pretty difficult since Liz didn’t fall asleep until late at night. Her mom was right, she did end up having ugly bags under her eyes but Liz didn’t care. She walked into the bathroom, looked in the mirror and thought, Ergh. 

She was never pleased with her looks in the morning. Or any other time she saw herself, for that matter. She turned on the radio and stepped in the shower. While in the shower, tons of thoughts went through Liz’s head. She had a million different daydreams about what her first day would be like… Until her mom started yelling and banging on the door. 

“LIZ, GET OUT OF THE SHOWER! YOU’RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL IF YOU STAY IN THERE ANY LONGER!”

She finished rinsing the smooth conditioner out of her bright red hair that she dyed in the beginning of the summer and stepped out into the coldness. She wiped the mirror with her damp towel and looked at herself. The curves on my body are so ugly. Why can’t I be the skinny girl for once? The pretty girl? Beautiful? Hot? Why can’t I be a girl who gets guys? 

These thoughts came into Liz’s head almost every day, like most girls. Sometimes her own mind scared her. She always wanted to escape from her own thoughts because her memories were disturbing. 

Liz wrapped the towel around her body and walked into her room. She pulled her favorite ‘A Day To Remember’ shirt over her head and shimmied on a pair of worn out skinny jeans. She didn’t feel the need to impress anyone on the first day of school because she would just end up being bullied anyways. All of high school, she would probably have one friend, if she was lucky. Middle school started out well but then everyone changed. In the middle of seventh grade, all the girls turned sluttier and all of the guys were bigger d*********s. Most of all, everyone turned more Judgemental.
