Dead Kingdom

Dead Kingdom

A Poem by Toaster
"

A villinelle from my other website, www.hangmanwriting.blogspot.com

"

The blade pierces the skin
The crimson blood flows
Black blood with sin
Quietly the wind whispers as it blows

The crimson blood flows
Crazy court jesters smile
Quietly the wind whispers as it blows
The king of the castle toward all acts hostile

Crazy court jesters smile
And the forest on the edge of the kingdom remains dark
The king of the castle towards all acts hostile
The blood against the white snow is stark

And the forest on the edge of the kingdom remains dark
Black blood with sin
The blood against the white snow is stark
The blade pierces the skin
