as you walked out of my life.

 

you screamed

in my ear,

hoping you'd never see me again

 

but here i am

staring you in the eyes

and the realisation hits you,

as your tears begin to fall

 

we cried,

we laughed,

we screamed with all the excitement

but you and i know,

it'll end in tears.

 

dumb,

is what you texted,

after i tried to confess

 

sweet,

 is what you said,

as i kissed you on the cheek

 

but here i am
