We have been speaking in silence

In thoughts that never make it

Past our voice boxes,

In glances that aren't naked enough

To show what we really mean

What I really mean is

I miss you.

I miss everything about you

And everything about me when you are here..

I know that you're still here

I just want a little more than just your presence

I want the absence of your absence

If that makes any sense

I just want us to exist again somehow

I miss having you around,

What I really mean when I find your gaze

Across the hallway

And refuse to look away

But still say nothing,

Is that I need you to walk towards me

I need you to show me that there is still

Something worth fighting for beneath all

Of this

Brokenness.

What I mean is I need you.

Stay. 

Stay in whatever way you like.

Just don't stay away.
