BEAUTIFUL SADNESS

Oh beautiful sadness, my dark paradise.

I spent my life wishing you away,

But now, I beg for you to stay,

For I see what you mean to me.

Like my mothers touch on a dreary night,

That warmed my heart, and made me cry.

You come by at forlorn times,

Reminding me that I am alive.

Hey!
Happy new year everyone.
Will be on and off this whole month too.
A little scribble to remind you all that i still exist.
And apologies to all those whose work i haven't read despite the read requests. Will try and catch up.

P.S. Feel free to tell me what you think off this piece. Also do tell me if i should add a few more stanzas, i felt as though they may take away from the piece but if it feels incomplete i will add a few more lines.

I liked this poem...First of all i found the title very attractive which compelled me to read this poem...
One word can suit this poem and that is awesome.....Another great work....I liked the way you refferred the sadness as your DARK PARADISE...very witty poem....I really enjoyed reading this poem...

Slightly shocking and amusing how sadness does aid in realizing that we still live despite all the hardships.
It feels complete as it is, though it may seem as if a few lines would make it better, that is introspectively filled in. This is subtle, emotive and very aesthetic!
