Dream

Dream

A Poem by Angad Waraich

DREAM
Staring at the bottom of the bottle
Wishing it to be the antidote
To a broken heart
And a dream I lost

The dream
Where I kissed you goodnight
And held you close every dark and stormy night

Another bottle down
That makes it six
And yet no effect
On My burning heart
And
The pain endless

All I lost was a dream
Then why the
Gut wrenching misery
Over something that just wasn't meant to be

But
What if
All i lost was just a dream
And there was still a chance for you and me?

But no
How can it be?
When the only man you'll ever love
Isn't me .

Sitting at the end
Of the ninth bottle in
The mind finally gives in
I fall to the ground
My mind finds peace
As I drift off to sleep
The only place
Where my dreams become reality.

wow! loved this...it takes the reader through the pain of heartbreak and the reader can feel this persons pain and heartbreak and visualize them at the end as they find peace in their drinking! Well done!

Thank you.
I could feel every word...pain writes It's self away but "what if lasts a lifetime"

Just knowing what could have been carves out the magic and leaves a stain.

Maybe put some flowers in the bottles and dream of eyes for you.
excellent work... 100/100

Thank you for reading and appreciating
Some wisdom in the poem. No answers in the bottom of bottles. We must face the problems. I like how you led the reader to a sad ending. Passing out. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
