Your BetraylA Poem by Pyrrha RaynIt's been awhileYour Betrayal By Jenna Wise If I could change anything about myself for you… It would be to make myself finally perfect. So I wouldn’t have to hear your brutalizing words…. So why am I paying the price for your betrayal? You left me broken and alone…. For far too long I’ve screamed for you to return. And know I hope you enjoy the show. As I take a match and light the flame. Incinerating the bonds holding me to you…. Far too long I turned the other cheek. And now my blood boils inside my veins. A monstrous feeling attacks. So here we are….. Now I’m in your head. I’m in your heart… And all you can see are these flames. Dancing, leaping, singing, and screaming…. Are you lost and confused? As this fiery passion wraps around you…. Is your skin blistering are you crying for water? I don’t hate you… But as you can see the water you need. Is the water I’m consuming…. Far too long I’ve been a doll in your games. So here we are…. Because for far too long. I’ve paid the price…. For your betrayal. © 2012 Pyrrha RaynAuthor's Note
