The Truth Behind the Fall

The Truth Behind the Fall

A Poem by Pyrrha Rayn
"

...an angel's fall...trying to think of a good title

"

Her wings glowed...

Her heart made entirely of gold...

The innocence she possessed was of a true beauty.

Her eyes danced and sparkled...

Her body strong and sure...

Her life was joyous filled with love and the company of friends.

And like the rest she was allowed to walk...

On a barren sad place called Earth...

Nurishing the broken and abandoned.

This little angel couldn't have known...

Instead when she met him...

She let go of all sanity and took a leap of faith.

But when she jumped...

Expecting to find the safety of his arms...

She simply slipped through hitting the rocks where he stood.

She turned and looked to heaven and screamed...

But they could do nothing but turn away...

As the darkness took over tearing her apart.

Her white glorious wings ripped apart and stained black...

Her golden heart iced over like the barren Earth that now held her...

The innocence she once possessed was gone and the beauty went with it.

Her eyes dulled and died...

Her body broke and she layed there vunrable to the blackness...

Her life no longer joyous and full now empty and alone.

She was willing to give it all...

And he couldn't pull through for his angel...

And all he does is watch.

Because he can't fix the mistake he made...

And all he can do is think of how...

He he took one of the greatest creations ever made.

And broke her...

Destroyed her...

And watched her take a plunge she would never recover from.

If you have an angel...

Don't let her go...

Because what is done is done.

Wow, this was really, really powerful, heartbreaking, and extremely true. To me, ya only get that one very special angel in your life that could change it for the better. Once you destroy that, that's it. There isn't going to be another. So, yes, ur totally right on that. A really beautifully-tragic piece. Great job! :)
