Taken

By: Jenna

As you lay me down to rest…

And you bless my soul eternal peace…

I stand above you on fresh ground I see through all your silly lies now.

I watch as the rain sways along your face…

As your head is bowed in such a sad estate of black…

Mute and silent you wonder why her I can answer that oh so easily.

You completely took me for granted.

Now I’m gone in a place you can’t see…

I would love to stay and tell you what I can finally see…

However, angels are here to take me along my journey to help me back to my home.

I would love to tell you that I am safe and happy…

But you really wouldn’t care.

I was a mouse in your silly maze of lies…

Now I can see past your disguise…

So place that rose upon the lonely grave…

And say a prayer for the mouse you lost that day.

I’ve been taken out of your grasp…

And away from your web of lies…

The secrets and desires you with held deep inside…

I’ve been taken finally and brought to a place called home.

And so you think that now you lay me to rest forever in peace…

Instead I’m running with the beat of eagles wings…

My heart soars free from agony and pain…

The lies are gone I’m free from your rusted chains I’ve been taken home a place where I’m finally safe.
