Fairy Tale Dreams

Most girls grow up

watching the princesses on tv

and hope that one day

thats the way their life will be

not realizing what seems so perfect is utterly surreal

 

they dress up in litle pink dresses

and put on their mother's shoes

and walk around 'until their feet hurt

pretend to put on makeup

and wear tons of jewelry around the house

 

they wait for the day that their prince

will show up and wisk them away

to a perfect happily ever after

they dream of the perfect life

only portrayed in fairy tales

 

their childhood dreams becomes a reality in their eyes

they think that life will turn out

just the way they plan it to

without any consequenses

but they don't realize that none of this will ever be true

 

& I've spent so long

trying to make my life

turn out this way

that I forgot what its like

to be a real girl and live in reality. <3
