What Do You See In Him?

 

what is it that you see in him?

He’s not worth your time

He’s nothing but a heartbreak

And he’s not right for you

Are phrases I  constantly hear

 

The moment your name rolls off my tongue

Everyone around me begins to grimace

They don’t understand what it is that you do to me

Or even what it is that I see in you

 

every time I say, It’s plain and simple

You just don’t understand

he shines light on my darkened day

And brings out a person in me that you don’t know

 

The way his eyes sparkle makes my heart melt

The sound of his laugh is enough to make my knees go weak

the way it feels to fit perfectly into his warm arms kills me every time

And lastly it’s the person he is to me

 

So what is it you ask me that I see in him?

Its everything that you could possibly imagine

Its what being with him does to me

its also my feelings when we’re apart

 

But most of all its not what you see

It's the fact that what I see is

Not a being of imperfection

But someone who can bring the most joy into my life the moment I need It most ^
