Consequences

Consequences

A Poem by Catie_Marie

he stands facing her, their bodies inches away from each other

whispering the smallest of words in her ear

she feels his breath rolling down her neck

it takes every ounce in her body

not to do something she’ll regret

but shame is the only thing keeping from whispering

‘I still love you’ in his ear and tracing her lips

from his ear across his cheek

to his perfectly shaped lips && kiss him so passionately

that he won’t know what just hit him

but she knows the consequences && turns away

but not before saying ‘I don’t love you anymore’

Good insight into human behavior. Sometimes emotions can tempt does do what we should not. Thanks.

How we often fight our own impulses of what we really want. A good piece about this. Well done.
