Hell

Hell

A Poem by Chasity
"

I think you can guess...

"

All alone am I
in my own hell
Drowning in the
fires below
No way out
my skin melts
my body burns
I fade slowly
floating away
gone forever

Though the work begins with the emotional statement of being alone, the piece itself appears to focus on the physical devastation of Hell upon the body. It leaves one to wonder if it is because of something physical, that the loneliness exists . . . or perhaps if the destruction of the body is seen as a possible escape from that loneliness.
