HAVE YOU SEEN THEM?

Did you look? Have you seen them?

  I have been looking for a long time, all my life I would say. I constantly verify if they are around, if I can see them, feel them, ear them. I know they are out there. Also looking for me, waiting for me to find them.

Some days I reach them from the tip of my fingers. That’s when hope fills me, and I can almost catch them, pull them close to me. 

Then, an event , an emotion, a wrong turn, and they escape me. And I found myself searching in the dark again, trying to find my way back in this complicated interminable maze. Try to accomplish the same actions that got me to them in the first place, or similar ones that would result to the same conclusion. And sometimes I catch a glance of them, their arms open, ready to hold me. 

And a butterfly flaps its wings. And I lose them all over again, managing to keep a part of them with me this time. 

I will find them again. And I’ll hold on tight, do everything to keep them as close as possible. Have you seen them? 

The person you want to be? The person you inspire to be? 

I hope you have. Seen yours. Seen parts of mine in me. 

I hope you are searching, constantly challenging yourself to find them. Maybe you already have a part of them with you. Maybe you have it since the beginning. Maybe you already have them whole.
