A Poem by Invisible Ink
"

How do you come?

"
Inspiration
what form do you take?
a flock of migrating geese traveling south
wings outstretched against the bluest sky
or the sound of cold rain falling with a pit-pat
on a warm summer night without a breeze
an epic story I read somewhere
the pages turning themselves
or quiet as a mouse
stealing crumbs and sneaking about
a dream of a dream
of a life within a life?

can I call on you when I wake?
or late into the star-filled night
how do you come?

with a coaxing and quiet reflection
with a bang and loud revelry
with a show of hands and the deal is done
how do you come?

thought provoking; the beauty of inspiration is the surprise and openness we are to it...no rules - no expectations
