Dear Self,

Still in revision

Let me cultivate
these traits
Plant tiny seeds
in my soul
That they may grow
into huge trees
That shelter me
and those I know
And those I do not
and let their roots
extend under foot
into all aspects
of myself and my life

Forgiveness,
Let me not waste
any more of this
slipping time
before forgiving
myself

Wholeness,
Let me be whole,
integrate the pieces
of my broken self.
Let me be happy,
with who I am and
what I have.
Let me be healthy,
respect my body
and treat it kindly.
Let me be wise,
when I make a mistake,
let me not make it twice.

Generosity,
Let me not judge,
but instead,
hold myself to
high standards
of integrity.
Give my whole
heart, my whole self
freely and without
asking anything
in return.
