Today the Bird Ate the CatA Poem by Invisible InkIn a world turned upside downToday the bird ate the cat. First the head led, then body, and that was that. Today the rain flew upwards into the sky, left the land dry, heavens were flooded by and by. Last night the moon howled at the dog from beneath, it bared its teeth and the frightened dog fled. Last night the dead buried their living into the ground, without a sound they whispered a blessing.
